Crochet needle method
We use the crochet needle method for creating and maintaining dreadlocks. With a crochet needle we make small knots inside of the dread. We close off the outside of the dread by creating a web of mini knots. Because of this, you will have sturdy and compact dreadlocks: 'instant dreadlocks'.

The crochet needle method speeds up the natural dreadlock process. Your hair needs time to form a compact bundle. We boost this process by gently pulling the hairs and tightening them in small knots. By first backcombing the hair and working very carefully, we make sure that the hairs don’t break.

Pro’s of the crochet needle method are:
It speeds up the natural dreadlock process. We create ‘instant dreadlocks’.
The dreads are formed with a lot of care and precision. So no bumps, loops or holes.
No hair products (wax, gel), so no residue in your dreadlocks.
Softer for the scalp than for instance twisting or interlocking.
Cons of the crochet needle method are:
When not handled with care, the crochet needle can break hairs.
It’s hard to master the method.
